Last Days of the Romanovs by Robert Wilton
Mr Wilton was a reporter for The Times, one of the world's oldest newspapers and in Russia at the time of the Revolution. He also took part in the investigation of the murder of the Tsar and his family at Yekaterinburg. His book gives the membership of various important Bolshevik committees and the their nationalities. In Russia one might expect them to be predominantly Russian. In fact they were largely Jewish. Being a political activist is not necessarily being evil but the Bolsheviks and their successors succeeded in killing between 85 and 100 million people worldwide. They made the Nazi efforts look quite modest.  More and better details are in The Black Book of Communism. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn confirms Mr Wilton's views.
